In one of the smallest low mountain ranges in Europe, in the south-easternmost tip of Saxony, you will find what is probably the most beautiful part of Upper Lusatia, the Zittau Mountains along the border between Saxony and the Czech Republic.our pretty little town with its pleasant climate and picturesque half-timbered houses is worth a visit at any time of year. Enjoy the spring awakening in the mountains, mild summer days or colourful autumn forests, hiking, climbing, cycling or swimming, there is something for everyone. In winter too, young and old can enjoy skiing, ice skating, winter hiking or tobogganing to their heart's content. Treat yourself to culinary delights in the numerous restaurants in our village and the surrounding area and make yourself at home in our lovingly furnished holiday flat, which is centrally located in the centre of Jonsdorf in our newly renovated Umgebindehaus on the 1st floor. To explore the beautiful Zittauer Gebirge many hiking trails go directly from the house in all directions such as to Waltersdorf, Oybin, Großschönau or the neighbouring Czech Republic with all its attractions. Numerous leisure activities are available, e.g. swimming in the Jonsdorf mountain pool or at Lake Olbersdorf. Paddling tours on the Neisse for the whole family. Cycling along the Mandau or mountain biking in the mountains. Excursions to Zittau, Görlitz and Bautzen for shopping or a guided tour steeped in history, such as a visit to the Great Lenten Shroud! For all railway enthusiasts, a trip on the historic narrow-gauge railway is always an experience! Day trips to Dresden or Prague are also possible and we warmly welcome you!
