The modernisation of our holiday flat was completed in June 2015.

In the immediate vicinity of the holiday flat (5 min. on foot) you will find the "Heißer Brocken" thermal spa as well as the entrances to the healing climate hiking trails and mountain bike routes (Torfhaus, Brocken), very well signposted.

In summer, you can swim in the Okerteich forest swimming pool (free entry) in Altenau (non-swimmer area and catering available).

The Marienwand in the Oker valley is ideal for climbing.
Paddling and white-water rafting are possible on the Oker in the immediate vicinity.
Altenau is a great starting point for bikers, hikers, motorcyclists and walkers.
The old imperial town of Goslar (approx. 20km away) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is well worth a visit in both summer and winter. The Christmas market in Goslar is one of the most beautiful in Germany and is extremely popular with visitors.

Cross-country ski trails, starting in Altenau on the Rose, as well as the ski lift and the toboggan hill on the Rose and the Heilklima winter hiking trails, are very central and within easy walking distance. The cross-country ski trail network in Sonnenberg, Braunlage and St. Andreasberg is also just a short drive away. The approaches there are always very well cleared.
An indoor swimming pool with sauna and all the usual food discounters are located in Clausthal Zellerfeld, approx. 8 km away.
