Maximum 2 pets/ dogs allowed. Our fully insulated house "Sommartorp" can be rented all year round and is located 8 kilometres from the Baltic Sea, 30 minutes from Öland and close to the Småland forest. Depending on the season you can pick mushrooms and berries. A day trip to Astrid Lindgren's World is definitely worthwhile in summer and autumn. Hiking along the Ostkustleden or a visit to the elk park will be an adventure. A visit to the fun and swimming pool or the skate park in Mönsterås is something for everyone. In autumn, when it starts to get quieter and the hustle and bustle of summer slowly comes to an end, the time of rest begins. The harvest festival on Öland, also known as Skördefest, is the action to take part in. The whole island celebrates late into the night. In December it gets quieter again but you can visit some of the Christmas markets and then warm up in the sauna or in front of the fireplace. The surroundings offer variety in every season. In our house there is a kitchen-living room with a sleeping niche with a double bed, a sofa bed with room for up to 2 people. A small bathroom with WC and shower and a sauna. A stove and plenty of firewood provide cosy warmth. In the laundry room there is a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a vacuum cleaner. The property is surrounded by a fence. The car park is right outside the door. Just follow the sign "Sommartorp". Sweden has many beautiful beaches, but the best are on the island of Öland, especially in the north. Pets are very welcome here. We hope you enjoy experiencing and discovering Sweden.
