Wood End Cottage, your home-away-from-home in the Pennine hills Wood End Cottage enjoys a quiet and peaceful location on the edge of the village of Slaithwaite and is within easy reach of the M62 motorway (junction 23, 3 miles) and both Manchester airport (39 miles) and Leeds Bradford airport (24 miles) Local attractions such as Summer Wine Country and the Peak District National Park are close by and Huddersfield, with its vibrant night life, shops and state-of-the-art swimming pool complex is only 4 miles away. Surrounded by fields and with stunning views over the Colne Valley this lovely cottage is an idyllic base for your holiday and ideal for walking, cycling, birdwatching, painting, photography or just enjoying a relaxing break. Outside you can relax on the private decking area which has lounger chairs and a table. There is also a table and chairs on the terrace for outdoor dining. Private on-site parking is provided for one car. There are two floors with a double and a single bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor. The double room features a four poster bed, wardrobe and chest, the single room has a period style single bed, built in wardrobe and chest. The bathroom is equipped with a bath tub with shower over, toilet and wash basin. The open plan ground floor has a three-seater sofa, open fire, flat screen TV, DVD and CD players, a dining table and chairs and a fully equipped kitchen with electric stove, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, fridge with freezer compartment and a washing machine. The property enjoys solid fuel central heating in all rooms and there are also back-up electric heaters available. The landlord lives on site in the farmhouse and will greet you at the property to give you your keys and get you settled in.
