A house like a five-star hotel: 270 m² living area. Including 4 bedrooms with double bed (1 room with a large sofa which can be converted into a comfortable double bed for 2 adults), in the living room a sofa with folding double bed (for 1 adult or 2 children), 4 bathrooms, fully equipped modern kitchen, living room with fireplace, small garden in steps (due to slope), your private swimming pool of 4m by 8m at the terrace.
The house was finished in November 2007, according to a unique and ultramodern architecture and equipped with all possible luxuries: large garage with electric gate, parquet flooring everywhere, bath with hydromassage, alarm, electric shutters, central vacuum system, central music system with speakers in every room, air conditioning in every room, solar hot water system, atmospheric garden and pool lighting, brick barbecue in the garden,...
Sanguedo is a small ordinary Portuguese town. The centre is nearby on foot. Lovely village square, picturesque church at the roundabout. A cool extensive wooden footpath in the forest and along a small riverbed starts 500 metres from the house. Ask about the "pasadiço do UIMA" to the locals.Porto is also quite close. Porto is a fantastic city, quite unique actually. Lots of info available in our house. List of our 10 favourite squares and spots, central in historical centre from higher to lower in the city: 1. Praça de Carlos Alberto 2. Praça de Gomes Teixeira 3. Roof park near Rua das Carmelitas, at the foot of the Torre dos Clerigos 4. Next to this rooftop park: Praça da Cordoaria 5. Passeio Virtudes 6. Largo de Sao Domingos, at the end of Rua das Flores 7. Praça do Infante D Henrique 8. Praça da Ribeira, Porto side 9. Cais de Ribeira, opposite, Vila Nova de Gaia 10. Central East: Jardim de S Lazaro Vila Nova de Gaia Beautiful portico cellars to visit. Lovely quay with views of old Porto. Good restaurants in this area. Miramar By the sea...: the cape in the sea is a sight to behold. Quiet & peaceful, beautiful views. For us personally a favourite lunch spot (several eateries). Granja In Granja there is a fairly large (but expensive) outdoor swimming pool. By the way, Granja is a typical seaside village with beautiful old houses. Located between Espinho and Miramar, Espinho SURF ! - Every Monday a very big market in the city centre! Fine restaurants. Authentic and cheap fish restaurant opposite the fish market: o Pescador in street "RUA 41". Santa Maria Da Feira A 15-minute drive away. Road signs sometimes limit you to Feira. Follow orange signs "estadio" and park nearby. Then descend to the centre, see also city map in the blue folder in the living room. Pass by the church Igreja da Misericórdia with beautiful façade and the small but cosy square Praça da República. Further downhill and you'll have a nice view of the next church and, in the distance on high, the castle. In the green centre you will find a very nice church with abbey, Convento dos Lóios. The castle "castelo" at the top is definitely worth a visit. 9h30-12h30, 14h-18h. Medieval festivals first week of August: really worth a visit. See website viagemmedieval Aveiro Motorway towards Coimbra, count on a 45-minute drive. "Venice of Portugal". Pretty exaggerated as a description but still worth a visit with a boat trip through the city. The typical traditional fishing boats are very colourfully painted and particularly beautiful. Some fine examples of art nouveau. You can visit the old lighthouse "Farol" on Praia de Barra with a reservation by phone. The adjacent natural park S. Jacinto has a very nice beach. When visiting Aveiro, be sure to drive to Costa Nova with its beautiful row of Pyama-style houses as the town's trademark. Amarante Agua Park, water park in Amarante. Great town centre along the river. More info in brochure in our house. Finally: Viseu, Coimbra, Braga: all interesting cities at only an hour's drive from the house. Of course the Douro valley is also worth a visit, from the town of Peso Da Regua starts the beautiful wine region that has been declared world heritage!
From every room in the house there is a beautiful panoramic view of the interior with the Serra do Montemuro and the Serra do Marão on the horizon.
